I have been to La Scarpetta a couple of years ago, when they had different chefs working in the kitchen. Being Italian I am always reluctant to pay for Italian restaurant, and in this case I was really disappointed. The food was introduced by a very polite young woman, whom did not know much about the actual dishes, in fact I had to explain to my boss what each dish was. The portion were very small and you had to order at least 3 courses in order to be full and pay a lot of money, too much for what you got. The presentation of the plates was at amateur level and in some cases, the food was either burnt and cold or simply not up to Italian standard. There was virtually not seasoning such as garlic or rosmarine. I will not go back and would advise anyone not to go there unless they change the chef.
